2017 Membership Privileges and Policies

This annual membership is non-equity and carries no equity or ownership rights in Ravines Golf Club. Annual Members are entitled to the privileges listed below:

Privileges

Annual Members shall have full unrestricted golfing privileges (subject to availability) to Ravines Golf Club. Annual Members may be restricted from play during certain events, outings, leagues, etc. We kindly ask that all Annual Members gain permission from the golf professional staff prior to playing.
We are happy to offer a great playing opportunity to our annual members. QNorth, the management company, has offered their sister course(s) to our annual members to play for just $25 per 18-hole round. There are some minor restrictions such as: advance reservations must be made by calling the golf shop and acknowledging ahead of booking your intent to play as a visiting annual member from a sister course; and all play is based on courses availability. Guests of members will be required to pay the standard rate of play. Please notify the golf course of your Ravines membership status and we ask that present your membership card when checking in.

We will offer an Unlimited Range Pass that carries unrestricted use. Please see the current pricing for this golfing season.
The driving range and practice area will be closed prior to May 1, 2017 and after October 31, 2017 unless changed by Management. To help us provide the very best practice surface we kindly ask that all annual members follow these restrictions and do not hit from the tee area when the range is closed.
Members shall have charging privileges at Ravines Golf Club. (See billing policy below)
Members are asked to sign each and every purchase and ensure amounts are correct. We cannot guarantee all member discounts will be applied as qualified and we ask that you help by checking your bill and signing off.  It is the members responsibility to ensure they sign off on every member charge and should check balances for discounts applied.

Policies

Guest Fee: The guest fee for members bringing accompanied guests will be discounted from the normal retail rate according to the golf course rate schedule. Please call or visit the website for details. Restrictions on guest usage will be monitored and may be enforced at the discretion of the Club manager.

Referral Incentive: The Referral Incentive may change from time to time at the discretion of the Manager. Please contact Manager for seasonal incentive.

Smoking Policy: Michigan’s new smoke-free law prohibits smoking in our facility including all patios and decks as of May 1, 2010. Please refrain from all smoking in these areas. Violations will be handled by the Manager and any member in violation will be asked to stop as a courtesy warning. After this initial warning any violators will be suspended of all annual membership privileges and banned from the property. We take this State law very seriously and expect the same courtesy from our trusted membership.
Alcohol Policy: Please be mindful that under State Law alcohol may not be brought on-site. All alcohol must be purchased from Ravines. Violators will be asked to leave immediately and suspension from golf privileges is possible. As caring members please refrain from bringing alcohol onto Ravines premises. In addition it is unlawful for any homeowner to knowingly provide or sell alcohol to golfers on the golf course property.

Check-In Policy: Every member is required to check-in with the golf shop prior to play. Play will not be allowed on the course at any time if the golf shop and facility is not open for business. In the off-season when the course is deemed closed members will NOT be allowed to walk-on and play without authorization from the manager.

Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy is as follows: members reserving tee-times will be responsible for not cancelling the reservation 24 hours prior to the reservation. Failure to cancel (by phone or in person – please get cancellation number for your benefit) the reservation at least 24 hours in advance, and that tee-time is subsequently not re-sold, the member will be charged $25 per tee slot booked under their name. Members are provided a courtesy (2) no-shows/no cancellations (or a maximum of 4 players) before a fee will be charged.

Should weather be a factor in the decision not to play, no penalty will be enforced. However, weather cancellations must be valid weather causes such as rain, snow, temperatures, etc. After the courtesy maximum occurrences we will provide “Gift Cards” for the penalty charged that may be used at the Club. The cancellation policy is in effect during the season of May 15 – September 15 and will not be enforced by fee penalty before and after these dates. Please do not ask staff for special privileges.

Membership Term and Course Availability
The annual membership term will be from the date of application acceptance to December 31st of the same calendar year. Annual memberships are valid for the calendar year only. However, golf services and privileges are limited to the golf season only and are subject to the availability of the facility.

Tee Time Reservations: Annual members will have the ability to reserve tee times two weeks in advance. Reserving tee times for other members but under your name assume the responsibility for filling those tee times. If you are not comfortable with this policy please ensure names are provided to the golf shop staff when reserving tee times. This also helps us to know who is playing on the golf course at all times.

Food & Beverage: Annual members are encouraged to support Food and Beverage services at Ravines Golf Club; however, no minimum spending levels will be enforced. We also encourage annual members to report to us the positives and negatives so we can continue to provide food and beverage selections and quality meeting your expectations.

Initiation Fee: There will be no Initiation Fee to join as an annual member for the 2017 season. In the event that Initiation Fees will be charged for membership in 2017, current members renewing will be grandfathered and will not have to pay an Initiation Fee.
Billing: Annual members will be entitled to charge all purchases at Ravines Golf Club (with the exception of tournaments, weddings and similar large events determined at the discretion of management) to their account for monthly billing. Annual members will receive an end-of-month statement summarizing all monthly purchases and payments to the account. Each annual member authorizes Ravines Golf Club to charge the credit card listed in this Application for all charges incurred by the cardholder unless specified within this document. At each month end, all outstanding items will be charged to the member’s preauthorized credit card (unless other methods of payment are stipulated). All balances are due in full by the 30th of the following month. Amounts not paid by the 30th will be charged to the credit card on file regardless of what payment method was selected. Delinquent accounts will be subject to an interest rate of 2% per month and may result in suspension of account and playing privileges.

NEW: Membership charging privileges will end on October 31, 2017. All outstanding balances must be paid in full by December 1, 2017. Balances remaining will be charged to member credit card on file.

General: Annual members must present themselves to the golf staff in the clubhouse for all account transactions and prior to start of play, and must book their tee time under their name or member number. Annual golf members and their guests must abide by the individual golf club’s rules and regulations and respect the rights of all fellow golfers, guests and staff members. Failure to do so may result in the member’s privileges being suspended by the Course Manager. Suspended members are not entitled to any refund of the membership fee but may appeal their suspensions to management.
